Entering Points in AutoCAD: ABSOLUTE CO-ORDINATES

ABSOLUTE CO-ORDINATES - Using this method, you enter the points as they relate to the origin of the WCS. To enter a point just enter in the exact point as X,Y.

Example

Enter the absolute coordinates of the points in the following table. Then draw the figure using the absolute coordinates.

Command: Line
LINE Specify first point: 3,1 and press enter key
Specify next point or [Undo]: @3,6 and press enter key
Specify next point or [Undo]: 3,6 and press enter key
Specify next point or [Undo]: 4,6 and press enter key
Specify next point or [Close/Undo]: 4,2 and press enter key
Specify next point or [Close/Undo]: 5,2 and press enter key
Specify next point or [Close/Undo]: 6,3 and press enter key
Specify next point or [Close/Undo]: 7,3 and press enter key
Specify next point or [Close/Undo]: 7,1 and press enter key
Specify next point or [Close/Undo]: C and press enter key
