between our PRINTED units and
our MODELSPACE units

SCALE FACTOR = 1

SCALE FACTOR = 10

 METRIC EXAMPLE

SCALE FACTOR = 50 

CIVIL ENGINEERING EXAMPLE
1:50
         printed unit :  modelspace units
inch     feet
SCALE FACTOR = 50


 ARCHITECTURAL EXAMPLE
1/4”=1’
             printed unit     modelspace units
    inch     inch
4/1X12 = 48
 SCALE FACTOR = 48

1/8”=1’
8/1X12 = 96
 SCALE FACTOR = 96
